Panel discussion: ‘Migration and health’ using a gender & intersectionality lens (Mumbai, December 2019)

Held as part of the Resilient Futures India Initiative (RFII) – a multilateral partnership between India and the UK – the 7-member panel highlighted the need to initiate critical dialogues on the gendered implications of mobility, displacement and health; with a focus on mental health and access to essential medicines. They also emphasised on the need to make healthcare systems more equitable and responsive. More than 40 delegates from the UK and India participated in the discussion.

Hosted by Global Policy Institute (QMUL) in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, OP Jindal Global University, and Somerville College Oxford.
